The interior design of the village is designed by the Wonderwall architecture group, landscape designer Seijun Nishihata, and by collaborating with Kobayashi Takashi- a renowned Japanese composer and producer of the bands Mr. Children and My Little Love designed a 600 square meters space filled with bars, cafes, and restaurants this year. Not to mention, the interior designer Masamichi Katayama-a well known designer of Colette (Paris,) Ozone (The Ritz-Carleton 118F Bar/Lounge, Hong Kong) has added a luxurious vibe which continues throughout the village.

This village is a small commercial development that is designed as a small getaway from the neon bustle of Tokyo. From Friday April 26th-May 5th, Japan is in a long holiday called the Golden week and a lot of people are starting to travel overseas or the North/South area to visit their grandparents and relatives. For those who are not familiar with Golden Week, it is basically a consecutive holiday which consists of four national holidays within seven days here in Japan!

Here are the following dates:

Showa no hi(Showa Day) :
Showa Day is a Japanese annual holiday held on April 29. It honors the birthday of Emperor Showa (Hirohito.) The purpose of the holiday is to encourage public reflections on the turbulent 63 years of Hirohito’s reign.

Kenpo Kinen Bi(Constitution Memorial Day) :
Constitution Memorial Day is a national holiday in Japan. It takes place on May 3rd in celebration of the promulgation of the 1947 Constitution of Japan.

Midori no hi(Greenery Day) :
This is a day to commune with nature and to be thankful for blessings. It takes place on May 4th.

Kodomo no hi(Children’s Day) :
This is a day for all Japanese Boy’s originally called Tango no Sekku and it is a day to pray for the health of boys.  After Japan’s switch to the Gregorian calendar, the date was moved to May 5. The festival is still celebrated in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Korea and Vietnam as well.

Located in the heart of Shinjuku on the 49th floor, this restaurant offered a gorgeous view of Shinjuku’s upscale high-rise hotel bars and of course, Tokyo Tower. The layout which gave it a Zen like atmosphere and the simple bar in the center, created just the right atmosphere for us to whine down and relax.

From the start of the menu to the dessert menu, the owner of the restaurant carefully selected every item with healthy headings like “Collagen healthy drinks” and “Natural Condition.”  The item of the menu were all very original and really focused on healthy ingredients. Not only did this restaurant offered organic vegetables, there were other alternatives such as boiled and grilled chicken with seasonal vegetables for everyone to enjoy. Here are some of the pictures that we have experienced and love to share.

With very spacious seats, the wooden walls give the space a warm New York atmosphere when entering the restaurant.

We ordered some Japanese bamboo shoots and spinach, which contains rich sources in Fiber and Vitamin C with a hint of salt to add on to the flavor. Not only was the dish full of vitamins, our food came in with small gorgeous Japanese style plates alongside with Japan’s most comprehensive Sake list. We highly recommend you to try this restaurant for people who are vegetarians or even for locals who are looking for a good healthy spot to dine. Perhaps you can try the grilled chicken and vegetables there since they do an excellent job in cooking this.
